If you haven’t already, you absolutely must read this article in LA Weekly about Bruce LaBruce’s upcoming art-porn-film ‘LA Zombie.’ Here’s a deliciously, ridiculous quote:
I’m interested in porn partly because I hate porn,” [Bruce LaBruce] says. “I get frustrated that there isn’t more interesting stuff going on in it. I feel like I have to at least try to make something that’s a little more interesting. Also, for me, it’s kind of a statement about gay representation and the state of the gay movement, which has become so preposterously conservative that porn really is one of the last places where you can have radical expression on a certain level, in terms of really explicit homosexual material, in terms of extremes in representation and not just holding anything back.
Also, how did we miss ‘LA Zombie’s’ Francois Sagat in Italian Vanity Fair? Oh, that’s right. We don’t subscribe to Italian Vanity Fair. PNSFW | Don’t ask why, but when artist/photog Florentin Tuillier emailed us a link to his fabulous fan video of the Lady Gaga Beyonce duet “Telephone” — we sort of expected a Muppet-style marionette show. Instead, what we got was a delicious, if not visually witty, black and white cardboard-cut-out visual glam slam. Even Madame Perez Hilton had something to say about. NOT SAFE FOR FACEBOOK Nothing says, “Good morning” like a bit of porn on the Facebook, don’t you think? For a few hours last week a person listing him/herself as Jimmy Eddeh posted a pornographic picture as his/her profile picture before the FB police shut it down. We took a few screen grabs before the profile was removed. So, although it’s not clear, who Jimmy Eddeh is and why he or she is posting homo-porn-pics of BJ’s on FB, what is clear is that a majority of Eddeh’s “friends” have washboard abs. Sigh.
Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
