EVERYBODY DOES IT | Though the Empire State Pride Agenda endorses neither Bloomberg nor Thompson in the election today (most likely because an endorsement was not sought by either of them), I have no qualms about supporting the Republican/Independent candidate.

Call me predictable but my mind was made up when Thompson responded ‘yes’ to whether Obama had done enough for gays thus far, while Bloomberg said, ‘no.’ Though a true liberal at heart, like my fierce support for Hillary, I follow my gut when determining which candidate really has my best interests in mind. Though I am not well versed enough on either candidate’s voting record or policy positions to credibly argue this case, I think I’m feeling like many of us right now, a little burnt out on the idea of change.

Cleve Jones knew that the internet would revolutionize the way that the Equality March was organized, and he was right. It takes but moments to make hundreds of thousands of people aware of any event and then allows you to keep them actively updated and engaged with its progression. Social networks like Facebook are particularly useful for events such as this because they act as both informers and influencers. All month, and particularly all of last week I could see which of my friends were going to the march, how they were getting there, not to mention all the additional activities and parties they planned on attending while there. I couldn’t help but feel like maybe I was missing out.

Paris Men’s Fashion Week Fall 2009: Lanvin by Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver.

Imagine that only 3 years ago Lanvin was no more than bourgeois office suiting and frenchifed shirting. I suppose that’s the magic you get from an ex-Beene assistant once handpicked by St.Laurent and a Paris menswear veteran steeped in the subtle nuance of contemporary romance ala Dior Homme.

GOBAMA! – At 11:00 PM EST boisterous crowds of New Yorkers spilled onto 8th Ave to celebrate the conclusion of the 21-month long presidential campaign. It was an amazing sight: hundreds of people shouting with joy as cars and trucks echoed the enthusiastic cheers with honks. Everyone was hot for Obama… including the cute boy who stripped down to his skivvies.

Faith is restored; hope is alive.

Alan Cumming @ New York's Eastern Bloc

BOOTY 4 OBAMA | “Who’d make a better lover: Obama or Biden?” That was the question on our minds at Alan Cumming’s “last stitch” Obama fundraiser last Thursday night at Eastern Bloc. The SFW interview with Mr. Cumming is now live at NYPress.com. But, for you ravenous homos out there, here’s the NSFW version.  Gon: “I like John McCain.” DJ Bob Reyes: “I’d rather do it with Joe Biden because he’d be down for a scewnicorn… it’s when you put a strap on your forehead and fuck me, well particularly Joe Biden fucking me.” Guy Next to Richard: “Obama. Obviously because he’s quite attractive. He’s got a good head on his shoulders… I feel like we could have a really healthy boundary-oriented relationship. Like, he’s not, like, going to want to move into my house on the second date.” Richard: “Obama is a liar. And I don’t fuck liars.” Well, that’s what she said.
