GLAAD had its second of three Awards celebrations in LA this weekend. Famous people where there including Drew Barrymore and Wanda Sykes who received honors and Adam Lambert who closed the show with a performance of “Music Again” and “Fever.” (Full list of winners here). Possibly the most fashionable event of the night happened when Richard Buckley (former editor-in-chief of the magazine Vogue Hommes International) accepted an award on behalf of his partner, Tom Ford for “A Single Man”— a film we covered extensively this past year. Miss Mogul, RuPaul, accepted an award for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” for Outstanding Reality Program (one of our fav shows this year). The cast of “Glee” including Jane Lynch accepted an award for Outstanding Comedy Series (Read about our love/hate relationship with “Glee” here). The GLAAD Media Awards conclude in San Francisco on June 5th honoring Levi Strauss President, Robert Hanson, who will receive the Local Hero Award. The event will be hosted by Bruce Vilanch.
