Bypass the fragrances bottles you see stacked high at department stores like Macy’s or chains like Sephora. This January, resolve to smell better than the neighborhood mall-rats. Trust us, you won’t find your signature fragrance decanting between bottles of Curve or Ck1. Instead, look for scents that are above the ordinary.

Perfume critic Chandler Burr declared that the scent should only be worn by the French, in France. I tested the smell with a French friend, upon taking a whiff she exclaimed “Ewww! It smells like sex, not in a good way”.
