Lady Pop v5. | 5 “Bombastic” Grls

Whatever the trends, each year brings with it a bevy of lady-fronted pop gems. Whether our favorite divas (see 2008’s “Put A Ring On It”), new blood (anything from Santogold’s eponymous debut), flashes in the pan (that’s you Katy Perry) or old friends we thought we might never see again (oh, Brit), the ladies never let us down.

This year is off to a less bombastic start, though that will certainly change course come summer. Until then there are five ladies to last us through spring. LEFT/Cover art for St. Vincent’s new record, Actor.
