Can a teen-vampire-idol play my ultimate-queer-idol?

There’s a scene in Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” where Javier Bardem’s character propositions Scar Jo’s character and she responds with, “I’ll go to your room [insert nonchalant shrug], but you have to seduce me.” That’s how I feel about “Little Ashes” — a new film that explores the relationship between Salvador Dalí and Luis Buñuel. When the film debuts next month, I’ll go to the theatre, but the acting will have to seduce me. Because for as much as I want to love this film — Lorca, Dalí, and Buñuel being my ultimate icons — with such high expectations, I have a feeling I’ll be disappointed.  ”Little Ashes” is scheduled for limited release in the US starting May 8, 2009.
